Question by : Are there any 'Lord of The Rings' themed activities in England?
We are visiting England over the late June/July period and i am wondering if there are any areas or houses or whatever that are specifically themed to the lord of the rings. I know that in New Zeland there are whole tours and the suchlike and was wondering if anything like that is in England considering the books were written there.
Cheers

There is Moseley Bog, and Sarehole Mill, both areas where the young Tolkien played when he lived nearby, and he has said influenced him in his writing.
As you walk between the two, you’ll see the house where he used to live, but it’s not actually marked, and out of respect for the current occupiers, I won’t give the address.
I find it hard to believe that more isn’t being done to connect these two sites with the work of Tolkien, but I understand that the bog has recently been given a large grant to improve access, and hopefully include some sort of exhibition.
