Dominica - Mountains near Roseau, with Rain

Our guide said that rainfall on the coast is about 70 inches (1780 mm). There is a "rain forest" area in the interior which receives 300 inches (7600 mm) of rain a year. Our tour did not go into that area, but another tour did. Yes, there was rain that morning in the rain forest. Quite a variation for an island that is less than 30 miles (50 km) long.
