I try not to dwell on it. If he has to get deployed then it’s going to happen either way. I figure it’s going to happen sooner or later anyway as he’s due for a deployment(just got done at a 3 year non-deployable duty station). So, for now, we’ll just enjoy the time we have. I can’t change it if it’s going to happen and I’d rather enjoy each day with him now than worry about all the what ifs. I always have faith that he’ll come back(he’s been deployed twice already).

Not in the least. My daughter was 6 months old when I went to Afghanistan. I’m currently on a controlled tour but know that I’ll probably be deployed within 12 months of my return to the US this summer. Whether it’s Afghanistan or Libya makes no difference to me – I must do my job all the same. Between my husband and the grandparents my daughter will be very well cared for no matter where I go.

Over in the military section of yahoo answers they say it is a “military conflict” and not a war.

In fact, we have apparently not been at war with Iraq or Afghanistan either. We are their allies.

If that is how we treat our friends….

yeah it does, and my husband is due to deploy to the middle east in the next few months. I’ve got a 7 year old & 14 month old twins. Libya will be taken care of soon with the allied forces stepping up.
