biom Question by Diego: Is Barranquilla, Colombia a good place for a single young man to travel to?
I've been looking at taking a "singles" tour in Barranquilla, but I'm considering cutting out the middle man (and his 0 fee). Would I have a hard time meeting women in Colombia without the middle man? I want to go to Colombia, Medellin seems too dangerous for me, but Barranquilla seems pretty safe, yet quiet.
I'm wondering if I should spend 0 to meet good women there or if it's a waste of money.....

Yeah yeah Colombia is dangerous, rubbish! If you can speak Spanish you will meet girls. Colombia is great and the people are friendly, stick to the west and north of the country.
ok first if your trying to look for women do not go to Barranquilla you should go either to medellin or cali maybe bogota those first two places are great really nice and have beautiful women. Medellin is much nicer though then cali the city is beautiful and more modern then any other city in colombia….I’m Colombian trust me.
From my experience (6 trips to various parts of Colombia), Barranquilla is at the bottom of my list. Medellin and Bogota are much nicer and more modern. Cartagena is a beautiful city on the ocean but is a haven for tourists too. No matter where you go, if you speak spanish, meeting people, including women, will not be a problem. The nonsense about Colombia being so unsafe is just that…..nonsense. Mexico is much more dangerous at this time. Save your money and go to Colombia. ?The only risk is you will want to stay.? That is the new advertising slogan for Colombia and it is true.

Medellin is little dangerous depends where you go , same will be some areas in chicago, NY,LA ,,Barranquilla is a city with to many areas too, some very rich others very poor and others absolutely no safe for you , but Right there 30 min north is Santa Marta stay in the Rodadero area will be better , is like be in miami beach every Body from the country come there for vacations, same a big city call Cartagena 3 hours south of barranquilla, in my opinion those are more safe then Barranquilla, is another city call Bucaramanga in the state of Santander, is in the mountains with weather of 70-80 degrees, full of pretty woman’s , and is more safe then Bogota, Medellin or Cali.
I will recommend visit web sites like tagged,my space ,and facebook those are free and you can reach for new friends in those cities ,and then you having friends visit that towns and those friends can introduce you with new friends and who know ,you may found you half orange, with 900 dollars you pay food and hotel for a month in Colombia or you found a room rent for 50-100 per month add 100 more for room with food in a family house.
visit it in you own , have precautions regard safety, Colombian people is good , but you not exempt of bad people too, pick pockets ,ask for a specific city and I give you tips for the town.
