Question by Amadeus C: visiting Dubai, are short trips to Doha and Bahrain worth it?
Hi, I will be staying in Dubai for about a month, and I am interested in visiting the surronding regions. I've booked a tour to Iran, and plan on dropping by in Egypt and Oman.
I've looked in guide books and did some research online, but information regarding Doha (Qatar) and Bahrain are very generic and activities and sights seem very similar to the UAE already...so I was wondering if separate trips to these countries will be worth the effort, or should I spend more time exploring the bigger states?
Cheers
V

Question by theman: Tour guide or self guide for Thailand?
I am planning to go to Thailand next year and I was wondering whether it's cheaper to go with a tour group or on your own?
Best answer:
Answer by lilbitt_637 We went a few years ago and had a private tour guide. She took us to many different places that I don't think a traditional agency would. She even introduced us to her family and took us to all the malls in the area because we requested it!
