Flying to Santiago Chile-need to know what to “must see” in the city of Santiago in one or two days?

Question by anaid27: Flying to Santiago Chile-need to know what to "must see" in the city of Santiago in one or two days?
I am going for business to Santiago, and I may only have 1 day to tour the city. Please if you can give any suggestions of what places I cannot miss to visit, or are worth visiting. As well as suggestions on places to shop for typical souvenirs.

Thank you all!

Hi
I'm chilean and I think that you should visit the Santiago downtown (Santiago Centro) where you can find nice old buildings and amazing works of art.

you also should visit Palacio La Moneda which is the biulding where the President works

If you have enough money you could go to the following "comunas": Providencia, Las Condes, Vitacura. where you'll be able to find nice souvenirs and other expensive gifts. in these "comunas" you can find a lot of shopping malls with very exclusive stores. :D

but if you like pieces of craft Santiago is full of places called "ferias" where you can find these things. you cand find one near the Santa Luc?a hill (that you should visit it, btw.)

I hope you enjoy Santiago and if you need a interpreter or a tour guide, here I am. jiji

take care, bye.

Travel Cambodia – Visit The Angkor Wat (Temples)

Take a tour of Angkor Wat in Cambodia -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. It is the primary temple complex in the ruins of the world's largest pre-industrial city. Angkor Wat is an extraordinary place, full of ancient statues and stone structures. The large temple is an amazing, if not the best, piece of beautiful local architecture. There were many religions that existed together in this place, including Buddhism, Hinduism, and indigenous cults. The ravada Buddhism became the dominant religion here in the 13th century and remains so today. There are numerous carvings, statues, and other works of religious art all across Angkor Wat. The temple complex was built in the 12th century on the orders of the King at that time. Many say that the best views of the temple occur at sunrise and at sunset.

Q&A: Can I visit my family in Iran without a tour guide?

Question by : Can I visit my family in Iran without a tour guide?
I am an American citizen living in the States. My mother is from Iran and I want to visit my family in Iran this summer. My understanding is that if your father is Iranian, then you automatically have Iranian citizenship but the same is not true if only your mother is Iranian. So I should be just like any other American citizen in the Iranian government's eyes correct? It's also my understanding that to visit Iran, an American must have a set itinerary with a tour guide, hotel bookings etc... Is there any way around this given that I have family in Iran and would be going specifically to visit them? Can they serve as my "tour guide" and can I list their address as the place I will be staying?

Best answer:

unfortunately if you are an american and wants to visit iran, those bastards at the airport they will treat you like a dog as soon as they find out that you are an american, they don't even treat iranians who have dual citizenship much less those poor americans who just want to visit the country.
when an american visits iran they always think of you as a spy.
but if you were from one of those fucked up countries like iraq any other fucking countries except america they would treat you nicely.
my advice to you is ask fucking Pakistan embassy in america since there is no iranian embassy in america.
once you have passed through the check-in at the airport then you will see a 180 degree difference between the people and the government
